We offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re 6, 106 or somewhere in-between, the Sutton Curling Club is sure to have a league suitable for you.
Daytime
If playing in the evening isn’t for you then plan to come out and join in on some curling either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Teams are made up based on the number of curlers that come out to play each day. All skill levels are welcome with an emphasis on enjoyment.

Mon - Mens
Monday Night Men's League is for male curlers of all experience levels. Teams are made at the start of the fall (1st draw) by skips. Teams are then redrawn for winter (2nd draw.) Winners from 1st half play 2nd half winners at the season end "Day of Champions"
These leagues are popular so get your member registration in on time to avoid disappointment.
Games are 8 ends.
Draw times are 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm for a 2 draw league, 7:15 pm for a 1 draw league.
Tue - Open/Mixed (Team entry)
The Tuesday league is any combination of Mens or Ladies curlers. This is a team entry league and teams register and play together for the whole season with the 1st half playing 2nd half winners at the season end "Day of Champions". There are also two different divisions to this league, and teams from each division either move up or down based on performance during the season.
Games are 8 ends.
Draw times are 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm.
Wed - Ladies
An evening out just for the ladies, and all skill levels are welcome.
Teams are created at the start of each half. Each skip is then randomly selected for a team. The goal is to make each team as equal in skill as possible to create a fair and fun experience for all.
The winner of each draw is determined by their win/loss record for that draw. One Fun Night is scheduled into each draw and consists of mixing up the teams, playing a game with light snacks afterwards. Winners from 1st half play 2nd half winners at the season end "Day of Champions"
The league is all about improving your skill level, having fun and a little light competition.
Games are 8 ends with the option to end after 6.
Draw time is 7:15 pm for a 1 draw league, 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm for a 2 draw league.
Thu Afternoon - Mens (Team & Individual Entry)
The Thursday afternoon league is for male curlers of all experience levels.
The league is a team or individual entry and teams will be made for those that don’t have a team.
Draw time is 2:00 pm, based on registration numbers for the evening league, draw time could shift to 3:00 pm.
Thu Evening - Mens (Team & Individual Entry)
The Thursday evening Men's league is for male curlers of all experience levels. Individuals can enter on their own, as two players, three players or as a complete team. Those not registering as a full team will have individual players assigned to their team at the start of the season.

Fri Afternoon - Open/Mixed
The Friday afternoon league is for male or female curlers of all experience levels.
The league will be a Tag/Fun League so individual registration.
Draw time is 2:00 pm. Based on registration numbers for the evening league, draw time could shift to 1:00 pm if the Friday league has three draws.
Fri Evening - Open/Mixed
The Friday Night Mixed league is very popular with new curlers and for those who enjoy a night of fun and socializing. You can sign up as an individual or a couple. The teams are picked by the drawmaster for the first and second half so there is an opportunity to play with different people in each half of the season.
You can count on there being a Share the Wealth draw every week and sometimes there’s a draw for a broom autographed by professional curlers. There are fun nights where everyone is encouraged to dress up for Halloween, Christmas, St. Paddy’s Day and so on with prizes for the best costumes.
If you’re looking for an enjoyable night out with some curling thrown in this is the league for you.

Draw times are 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm for a 2 draw league, and 5:30 pm, 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm for a 3 draw league.
Sun - Doubles (Team entry)
The doubles format is two players per team, and we welcome any combination of partners (male/female, female/female, male/male) and is a team entry league. The game is much quicker than a standard curling game - an entire game can be played in under 90 minutes. Each team throws only five rocks at each of the ends. This format helps players develop unique skills and strategies.
If you are new to Doubles Curling, no problem! Curlers of all skill levels can play.

Sun - Youth/Juniors
Little Rocks – ages 7 to 12
Bantams/Juniors – ages 13 to 19
The Youth curling program runs from 2:30 to 4:30 pm on Sunday afternoons.
The afternoon begins with an off-ice warm-up followed by on-ice sliding, throwing and brushing warm-ups. Each week includes practice, games, strategy and skill development. Competitions and special events such as family bonspiels and potluck parties are based on interest and family/parent involvement.
To get started curlers need a pair of clean, grippy indoor shoes to wear on the ice. Wear warm, loose fitting clothing (avoid wearing jeans) and gloves. Please note the Sutton Curling Club mandates that CSA approved protective head gear must be worn by all participants 12 years and younger. Strongly recommends helmets for all curlers.
