We offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re 6, 106 or somewhere in-between, the Sutton Curling Club is sure to have a league suitable for you.
Daytime
If playing in the evening isn’t for you then plan to come out and join in on some curling either Monday, Wednesday or Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Teams are made up based on the number of curlers that come out to play each day. All skill levels are welcome with an emphasis on enjoyment.

Mon - Mens
Monday Night Men's League is for male curlers of all experience levels. Teams are made at the start of the fall (1st draw) by skips. Teams are then redrawn for winter (2nd draw.) Winners from 1st half play 2nd half winners at the season end "Night of Chamions"
These leagues are popular so get your member registration in on time to avoid disappointment.
Draw times are 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm and are 8 end games.
Tue - Open/Mixed (Team entry)
The Tuesday league is if any combination of Mens or Ladies curlers. This is a team entry league and teams register and play together for the whole season with the 1st half play 2nd half winners at the season end "Night of Chamions". There are also two different divisions to this league, and teams from each division either move up or down based on performance during the season.
Draw times are 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm and are 8 end games.
Wed - Ladies
The Wednesday Ladies' league offers fun and friendly curling for all levels and promotes good fellowship. Teams are set up by draw chairs to support a positive learning environment with plenty of social time following games.
Draw time is 7:15 pm (multiple draws may be needed based on interest).
Thu Evening - Mens
The Thursday evening Men's league is for male curlers of all experience levels. Individuals can enter on their own, as two players, three players or as a complete team. Those not registering as a full team will have individual players assigned to their team at the start of the season. Winners from 1st half play 2nd half winners at the season end "Night of Chamions"

Fri - Mixed
Are you new to the area? Would you like to meet new people? The Friday night league is the ideal mixed, social league for new curlers, curlers with limited experience, and experienced curlers seeking additional on-ice time. We encourage new members and all levels of curlers to participate in this very fun league. Players are assigned positions on a team based on their experience.
If you’re looking for an enjoyable night out with some curling thrown in this is the league for you.
Games are 6 ends and draw times are 5:30 pm, 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. If there are only two draws, then draw times change to be 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
Sun - Doubles (Team entry)
The doubles format is two players per team, and we welcome any combination of partners (male/female female/female, male/male) and is a team entry league. The game is much quicker than a standard curling game - an entire game can be played in under 90 minutes. Each team throws only five rocks in each of the ends. This format helps players develop unique skills and strategies.
If you are new to Doubles Curling… no problem! Curlers of all skill levels can play.

Sun - Youth/Juniors
Little Rocks – ages 7 to 12
Bantams/Juniors – ages 13 to 19
The Youth curling program runs from 2:30 to 4:30 pm on Sunday afternoons.
The afternoon begins with an off-ice warm-up followed by on-ice sliding, throwing and brushing warm-ups. Each week includes practice, games, strategy and skill development. Competitions and special events such as family bonspiels and potluck parties are based on interest and family/parent involvement.
To get started curlers need a pair of clean, grippy indoor shoes to wear on the ice. Wear warm, loose fitting clothing (avoid wearing jeans) and gloves. Please note the Sutton Curling Club madates that CSA approved protective head gear must be worn by all participants 12 years and younger. Strongly recommends helmets for all curlers.
